LitFuse Blog Tour Review: My Daughter’s Legacy by Mindy Starns Clark and Leslie Gould + Giveaway

LitFuse Blog Tour Review: My Daughter’s Legacy by Mindy Starns Clark and Leslie Gould + Giveaway

My Thoughts I love these two authors and their work, and I was excited to see where this book went. And honestly, while I loved that these authors came together and created a captivating story, I was a little lost in some of the areas of the story, so I’ll definitely be going back to read the first two in the series. That said, these characters, both present day, and historical, are beautifully chiseled. Told between two points of view, the authors take the reader on a whirlwind ride through history and contemporary times. I loved visiting Richmond during the Civil War. Historical eras are my favorite! Nicole and Therese quickly swept me into the heart of the story and I felt both of their emotions like they were my own! Despite not reading book 1 and 2 and occasionally struggling to follow the story line, this conclusional book is definitely worth 4 stars. The writing styles of these two authors are beautiful, and mysterious and historical elements are awesome. This book is filled with emotions, thought provoking story lines, family legacies, and Godly messages of faith, trust and hope. I definitely suggest you get this book if you’ve read… Read more »

Review: Sunset In Old Savannah by Mary Ellis

Review: Sunset In Old Savannah by Mary Ellis

Holy smokes! Ms. Ellis is amazing! I’m used to reading her Amish books, so when the chance to read her Sunset In Old Savannah novel, I jumped on the chance. I wanted to see her talent at work in a suspenseful genre. It was not disappointing, that’s for sure. I lost myself among the pages of this gripping novel and I wasn’t expecting the ending that I got! I love a book like this. Ms. Ellis created a novel that all readers will love. It’s a touch of romance, Godly messages woven through out, a whole lotta twists, and a dash of humor. Beth and Michael’s characters will quickly work their way into your heart and they will stay there. They will take you on the whirl wind that is investigations, and lead you on a roller coaster ride that is evident with murders. Following Michael and Beth along the streets of Savannah (I’ve been once, and fell in love with the quaint town!) was so much fun! I was definitely on the edge of my seat for each page and stayed up long into the night reading. Ms. Ellis is a wonderful author. I haven’t had the pleasure of reading books… Read more »

Book Review: A Bride For Noah by Lori Copeland/Virginia Smith

Book Review: A Bride For Noah by Lori Copeland/Virginia Smith

My Thoughts: I’ve been a big fan of Lori Copeland and Virginia Smith for some time now, and I was excited to start a new book in a brand new series by the collaborators. Sadly, I was a little disappointed in this book. It started off way to slow for my liking. But, with that said, I did push on and ended up flying through the second half of the book and enjoying my time reading this book.  Evie and Noah are both such sweet characters that found a home in my heart to stay. I loved Noah almost from the start, despite the slow beginning. He really was a character and I was happy to follow his journey! Evie. Now that’s a character that you will love. Wit and charm come head to head on this sweet journey of love and faith, hope and happily-ever-afters.  With attention to historical detail, this team has once again created a  new series that I am glad I tried. I know there was a slow beginning, but not all books are the same, and start off fast. I just had to push through the first chapters and then bam! They hit me with… Read more »

Book Review: Whispers From The Shadows by Roseanna M. White

Book Review: Whispers From The Shadows by Roseanna M. White

My Thoughts: Awesome! That’s what I have to say about this book…….awesome! Ms. White is a surperbly talented author and one who has been on my favorites list for a long time. Her writing style just pulls you in and keeps you hooked until the last page is turned. Gwyneth and Thad are beautifully created. Both are full of spunk and charm, while being completely addictive. Their roles in the plot line were wonderful. The ups and downs that they had to go through quickly became my ups and downs. Following them on their journey, watching them grow in their feelings and learn along the way, was an adventure I won’t soon forget! I highly recommend this book of encouragement, faith, hope, and love. Written by a magnificently talented hand, this book is filled to overflowing with secrets, characters that steal your heart and a beyond 5 star worthy plot line that won’t let you go. As with her first two books, (which are full of amazing characters too!), this book was a long-into-the night, oh-ah-wow page turning experience for me!  I am anxiously looking forward to grabbing a copy of book 1 and starting from the beginning!
