Tyndale Blog Network Review: Mary Bible Study and Coloring Book

My Thoughts Another wonderful Bible Study/Coloring Book combo! These are doing my collections a wonderful world of good. And this one is about my favorite lady of the Bible…..Mary. As a mama, this Bible Study/coloring combo, really spoke volumes to me. I loved the scripture that was chosen for it, along with the, once again, beautifully depicted pictures for a relazing study/coloring session. I definitely recommend this book with 4 stars!

LitFuse Blog Tour Review: Israel-God’s Heart: Landscapes and Legacy of Israel by Ron Gafni & Kathleen Barrett

LitFuse Blog Tour Review: Israel-God’s Heart: Landscapes and Legacy of Israel by Ron Gafni & Kathleen Barrett

My Thoughts I loved this little book! It’s full of beautiful, vibrant pictures and I can’t say enough how much I loved looking at all of them. It’s not a big book, small and perfect for your end table or coffee table. God’s beautiful land in Israel is wonderfully portrayed in this eye catching book.  With pictures taken of history, sometimes on land and sometimes aerial, this book gives the reader some Scripture and details about the pictures to coincide. As I looked through this wonderful little book, I felt like I was able to visit the Holy Land without leaving my home. It was so beautiful to see. God’s Heart is a wonderful way to describe what I saw in the pages of this book.  This is definitely a 4 star book that I would recommend to those who love pictures of different places. The photos are crisp and detailed, leaving you feeling as though you are the one that took the picture, like you are the one that was there. I would love to see more books like this one to lay out so my guests can enjoy them as much as me!  Click here to follow the… Read more »

LitFuse Blog Tour Review: Stepping On Cheerios by Betsy Singleton Synder + GIVEAWAY

LitFuse Blog Tour Review: Stepping On Cheerios by Betsy Singleton Synder + GIVEAWAY

My Thoughts As a mom of two teenaged boys, I find it hard, sometimes, to find time to do anything. It’s a hectic, crazy time being a mom! It’s hard to make sure they are taken care of, go to work, come home, cook dinner, spend time with them and my husband, and still find God time. It really is hard sometimes. But, my mom said something once, and this book kind of reminds of it. She told me “Jesus came to you, why can’t you go to Him?” That’s so true. Why can’t I make the time to seek Him out no matter what whirlwind parenthood throws at me?  Ms. Synder takes the hustle, bustle hectic life of being a working mom, wife, and child of God, and tells us how she found the strength to deal with it all. She creates this book in a way that is never boring, always leaving me with a chuckle. Learning to put God in the center of all and realizing that this crazy thing we parents call life is not that hard if we put Him at the front of all we do. I definitely enjoyed this fast, interesting read. Ms…. Read more »

Review: Friends, Partners, and Lovers (What It Takes to Make Your Marriage Work) by Kevin A. Thompson

Review: Friends, Partners, and Lovers (What It Takes to Make Your Marriage Work) by Kevin A. Thompson

My Thoughts:  I’m married to my best friend. That’s what I tell people who don’t know me and want to know who my husband is. He’s my best friend. When we met, I was leery of another relationship. My first marriage was not the greatest. Too many bad things happening. I didn’t trust any guy. But, my husband patiently persisted and one day I took a leap of Faith after praying hard, and 4 years later we are still married. Do we fight? Oh Lord, do we ever! But, one thing  I can say is we stay friends through it all. We work our problems out. We seek advice if we need it. We never give up.  Kevin A. Thompson is an author I’d not heard of before, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this book, especially with it being a non fiction book. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! He takes three key aspects to making a marriage work and tells us why they work. It’s definitely something I have taken to heart and really want to work on with my husband! The way Mr. Thompson describes these aspects really make me reflect on… Read more »

BookLookBlogger Review: This Life I Live by Rory Feek

BookLookBlogger Review: This Life I Live by Rory Feek

My Thoughts I didn’t just love this book. I loved this book. It’s moving. This book isn’t just a biography of Rory Feek’s life. It’s the story of a true love, that will last beyond death. A love that is strong and unbreakable no matter the circumstance. It is a book that left me smiling, and left me with tears. This is a book that will be with me forever and I will turn to it many times over.  As a woman who is married to her best friend, I couldn’t imagine going through what Rory did with Joey. I wouldn’t be able to stay strong and move on. It would be too heart shattering, in my opinion. But, through reading Rory’s story, I know I can do it. I know I can remember the good things, the fun times, the inspiring moments that my best friend left me with. Rory’s story is filled with hope and faith. The way he talks about Joey is incredibly moving and I loved feeling a part of his life, if just for a little bit.  Reading this book, however, opened new feelings for me! I followed this story closely, especially since my husband… Read more »

Barbour Review Crew Review: The Heart Shaped Life Daily Devotional by Karen Moore

My Thoughts: Like Bibles, I can never get enough of Daily Devotionals. When this one came up to review, I was super happy. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. The cover is super eye catching and the devotionals within are just what I need to read.  Each day, there is a theme, a bible verse to accompany the theme, a devotional to read and then concludes with a prayer to say. I love that. I feel like my walk with God will improve with this devotional. The devotionals are wonderful and seem to be just what I need to hear/see.  This is definitely worth high recommendations. Ms. Moore created a wonderful, 4 star daily devotional collection that I will use on a daily basis. I’ll be sharing this with lots of my friends and family and I hope that you will too!

My Thoughts: I love getting a good Bible, or a really good study Bible. One can never have too many of them! So, I was quite excited for the chance to see what this new Woman’s Study Bible was all about. Boy, let me tell you! I was not disappointed! I love this study Bible.
