LitFuse Blog Tour Review: Dragon Seed by Marty Machowski

LitFuse Blog Tour Review: Dragon Seed by Marty Machowski

My Thoughts This is a new to me author and one I’ll be reading again! Dragon Seed really pulled me into the heart of the story instantly. From the start I was completely engrossed and taken on a fast paced ride of what’s right and wrong. That’s saying something for this book as I’m not a huge fan of young adult reads. However, this book….oh, this book really hooked me! As a mom of two teens, one of whom is troubled and angry often times, this book hit home with me in so many ways. It’s so much more than a simple young adult read. It’s a book filled with Bible lessons and messages of prideful ways and seeking more of Him. I loved that! These are the kinds of characters, and plot lines, that I want to see my children reading! Lessons of good versus evil, right versus wrong….all of it so gripping! This book is definitely worthy of 5 stars. It’s phenomenaly created, it’s well rounded with complex characters and God’s lessons. If you are looking for a laugh out loud book for your child/teenager, then this isn’t quite the book for you. If you are looking for… Read more »

Singing Librarian Book Tours: Reclaimed by Jennifer Rodewald

Singing Librarian Book Tours: Reclaimed by Jennifer Rodewald

Jennifer Rodewald is amazing! I went into this book with an open mind and heart, as I wasn’t quite sure what I would get out of the story. Ms. Rodewald is a new-to-me author and I tend to be cautious when I start their books. Boy, was I ever surprised! The emotions that filled me after reading this book! It definitely had all the feels.  I felt all of Suzanna’s emotions. Her heart ache, her struggles, all of them were mine. I could relate to her well created, complexity of character. My walk with God hasn’t always been an easy one, and I feel that with Suzanna and her life as she comes to terms with the events of her life. Like she could learn to trust in Him just a little more and her walk in life would be easier. I loved that. Being able to relate to the main character is one of the bonuses of a well written book.  Let’s not forget Paul! I loved him. Bless him, he was truly a wonderful, God fearing man and as he learned more about Suzanna, I could feel the turmoil in his heart as he struggled with what… Read more »
