Let Me Hold You Longer by Karen Kingsbury

Let Me Hold You Longer by Karen Kingsbury

This childrens book is one that you will need to use tissues with when reading it. A great childrens book, yes, but it’s also good for those of us who are parents. Karen Kingsbury tells of what it’s like to remember the last things in your child’s life instead of all the firsts we all almost always gush about. She captures the little moments that are most often forgotten, like the last time we held their bottle, or the last time we held their hands when they learned to walk. When I read this book, I cried. I cried because I had to think, really think, about the “lasts” of my children’s childhoods. It was something that was hard for me to do because I was always more concerned with their “firsts”. But Ms. Kingsbury showed me that even the lasts should be held onto because they grow up fast and won’t need mommy to hold them longer. While this is a truly wonderful childrens read to show children the love, it’s perfect for opening the adult’s eyes to cherish EVERY moment their children. Highly recommended!!!! *This book was purchased from a bookstore by me*

Uh Oh!

Uh Oh!

Ok, I have a warped sense of humor so I thought I’d play along. Behold, the puking pumpkin. Kinda gross right? But yet, funny too! Here are the rules:(1) It’s your turn to “ghost” three other bloggers — perhaps, somewhere you haven’t commented, in a while, or a blog you’ve NEVER commented on before and is new to our blogging community.(2) Stop by their blogs and leave a comment on their latest post saying:“You’ve Just Been Ghosted — Come Over and Grab A Puking Pumpkin!”(3) Copy and paste the puking pumpkin somewhere on your blog (either in a post or on your sidebar, perhaps) so that everyone can see that you have been “ghosted” and will NOT “ghost” you again. This will also let you know who you can “ghost.”I’m going to “ghost” these 3 bloggers:Bingo @ Bookin With BingoVicki@ Reading at the BeachLibby @ Libby’s Library News

Let’s Go On a Mommy Date by Karen Kingsbury

Let’s Go On a Mommy Date by Karen Kingsbury

This is a wonderful children’s book-a mommy/child time read. Karen Kingsbury captures the many different ways a child likes to spend their time, like parks, movies or zoos. She makes silly rhymes that will make your son or daughter all giggly…it did mine! But at the end of the story she captures the true lesson of the book: it’s not what you do to have fun, it’s about the loving, quality time that mommies spend with their children, cherishing each moment with them. I give this book recommendation because it not only can make the children smile, it can make the mommies smile, too, when they spend that moment watching their child smiling and loved. *This book was purchased from a book store by me*

Heaven’s Touch by Jillian Hart

Heaven’s Touch by Jillian Hart

By Jillian Hart Ms. Hart brings us to the lives of the wonderful McKaslin clan. This is one inspiring family who helps out, encourages and loves without end! In Heaven’s Touch, Ms. Hart tells Ben’s story. He’s a special forces soldier who’s having trouble with his attitude and the plans God has for him. When he returns home and is faced with an emergency, he comes head to head with someone he left behind long ago. Sparks fly between Ben and Candace but can Candace risk her heart to the man she’s always loved, or will she loose her dreams? Can Ben get over his sour attitude and realize the blessings God gave him? Ms. Hart’s words are amazing as she brings out the lesson of trusting in God and relying wholly on Him. I fully enjoyed this book and recommend it to those who love a well written, God filled, lesson teaching book! I love the work of Ms. Hart and I am sure you will too! *This book provided for review from my own collection*

Betrayed by Amy Clipston

Betrayed by Amy Clipston

By Amy Clipston This book is the first book by Amy Clipston that I have had the pleasure of reading. And I must be honest and tell you that I am not a big racing fan, but I absolutely LOVED Amy’s book, Betrayed. So much so that I am anxiously awaiting a second racing series book to be released! This is kind of a romantic mystery with a bit of humor mixed in. Set in my wonderful home state of North Carolina, Amy tells the story of Lacey, the young daughter of a Nascar team owner, who has loved the driver of one team car from afar for as long as she can remember. But while she’s away at college in Maryland, tragedy strikes-her father and stepmother both meet death in a fatal 1 car accident….but was it truly an accident? Reese has known Lacey since the day she was born. She’s like a kid sister to him. So when news of her father’s accident reaches him, he’s determined to be there for her. But she’s not making it easy. In trying to convince Lacey that she can trust him he finds himself seeing her as a gorgeous woman, not… Read more »
