By Amy Clipston This book is the first book by Amy Clipston that I have had the pleasure of reading. And I must be honest and tell you that I am not a big racing fan, but I absolutely LOVED Amy’s book, Betrayed. So much so that I am anxiously awaiting a second racing series book to be released! This is kind of a romantic mystery with a bit of humor mixed in. Set in my wonderful home state of North Carolina, Amy tells the story of Lacey, the young daughter of a Nascar team owner, who has loved the driver of one team car from afar for as long as she can remember. But while she’s away at college in Maryland, tragedy strikes-her father and stepmother both meet death in a fatal 1 car accident….but was it truly an accident? Reese has known Lacey since the day she was born. She’s like a kid sister to him. So when news of her father’s accident reaches him, he’s determined to be there for her. But she’s not making it easy. In trying to convince Lacey that she can trust him he finds himself seeing her as a gorgeous woman, not… Read more »

Welcome, Rita, to Book Reviews by Buuklvr81. Thanks for stopping by and sharing with us a bit about the novel, Surrender the Wind! Let’s start the interview off by asking where you’re from and what’s some of your latest news? I grew up in a Maryland suburb outside of Washington. I’ve been settled in central Maryland for most of my life, and love it here. I prefer the mountains to the beach any day. Latest news? Well, I’ve been co-coordinating a huge book signing event alongside author Wanda Dyson, and Leah Morgan, an aspiring writer. It will be held on November 28 in Hagerstown, Maryland with 13 CBA authors in attendance, two of which are Christy Award winners. It’s getting a lot of buzz and the attention of our publishers.I’m nearly finished writing a new novel, and planning out the sequel a little at a time. When did you consider yourself a writer and what inspired you to write your first novel? I’ve always loved books and reading. When I was around eleven, I wrote a short story and drew the illustrations. As a teenager, I wrote poetry and wrote essays. The desire to write bit me in the late… Read more »

Most all of us know Karen Kingsbury as being the queen of christian fiction. I certainly have to agree that she is definitely the queen of christian fiction! But what about before she become a christian writer? She was a journalist for a Los Angelas newspaper. While she was a journalist she wrote four articles on four different murder cases. Those articles and cases were turned into books, one of them being Missy’s Murder. As I’ve said, Missy’s Murder is based on an actual murder cases. A young beautiful girl, popular in school with and a loving mother, brothers and boyfriend, befriends a not so popluar shy new girl. This girl quickly becomes like family to Missy and her mom and brothers. Missy had everything the girl wanted:a loving mother, brothers,a boyfriend, popularity and beauty. Missy was even there with her friend when she got pregnant and had a baby and treated the baby like her own niece. Things seem so perfect….or are they? Some things start to happen and they just don’t seem quite right. And then Missy dissappears. Everyone seems to have an alibi….or do they? Is Missy really missing like the police think? Or is she dead like… Read more »
